Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails (about 68 oz each)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  2. Prepare the lobster tails: Use kitchen shears to cut along the top center of the shell from the wide end to the narrow tail end. Do not cut all the way through the bottom shell.
  3. Gently pull the meat up through the slit in the shell, resting it on top of the shell.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  5. Brush the butter mixture evenly over the exposed lobster meat.
  6. Place the prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meat reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius) and the meat is opaque.
  8. Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • You can broil the tails for the last 1-2 minutes for slightly browned tops, watching closely to prevent burning.
  • For easier cleanup, line your baking sheet with aluminum foil.
