Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into four oval-shaped patties.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the Salisbury steaks for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Add mushrooms and onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushroom and onion mixture and stir to coat. Cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in beef broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Return the Salisbury steaks to the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through and the gravy has thickened.
- Stir in fresh parsley before serving.
