Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely.
- For the peanut butter layer, beat together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
- Spread the peanut butter mixture over the cooled brownies.
- For the chocolate ganache, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until simmering. Remove from heat and pour over the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes, then whisk until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the ganache to set.
- Cut into squares and serve.
