Description
A recipe for soft and chewy cookies using cake mix for a quick flavor base.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined into a dough. Do not overmix.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. The centers will look slightly underbaked.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- You can substitute the chocolate chips with white chocolate chips or M&Ms.
