A straightforward recipe for a baked casserole featuring chicken and broccoli in a creamy sauce.

- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 4 cups broccoli florets, lightly steamed
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, steamed broccoli, cream of chicken soup, milk, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the casserole.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use frozen broccoli florets; thaw and lightly steam them before mixing.
- For a richer flavor, substitute half of the milk with heavy cream.
- If you do not have bread crumbs, crushed crackers work as a topping substitute.
