- 2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1 cup chili con carne
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped onions, jalapenos
Instructions
- Preheat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Fry the potato fries until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Place the hot fries in a serving dish.
- Spoon the chili con carne over the fries.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chili.
- Serve immediately with optional toppings if desired.
Notes
- For crispier fries, double fry them. Fry once until tender, then fry again until golden brown.
- Ensure your chili is heated through before serving.
- If you don’t have chili con carne, you can use your favorite canned chili.
