A simple and decadent chocolate cherry dump cake.
Ingredients

- 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1 (18.25 ounce) box devil’s food cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread the cherry pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the cherry pie filling. Do not stir.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top, if using.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
- For a richer flavor, use a chocolate cake mix instead of devil’s food.
