A simple meatloaf recipe cooked on the stovetop for a quick and cozy dinner.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf shape, about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide.
- Place the meatloaf in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook for 10 minutes on one side until browned.
- Carefully flip the meatloaf. Spread the ketchup evenly over the top surface.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover the skillet, and cook for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or a mix of beef and pork for the ground beef.
- For a richer flavor, add 1 teaspoon of dried parsley to the meat mixture.
