Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, crumbled bacon, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking pan.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard for the glaze.
  5. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) is reached.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or pork for ground beef.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze for a little heat.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans.
