- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, crumbled bacon, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking pan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard for the glaze.
- Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) is reached.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or pork for ground beef.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze for a little heat.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans.
