A simple, comforting soup featuring store-bought potstickers in a savory broth.
Ingredients

- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 12 frozen potstickers (pork or vegetable)
- 1 cup chopped napa cabbage
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Pour chicken broth into a medium pot.
- Add soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic to the broth.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium and add the frozen potstickers.
- Cook according to the potsticker package directions, usually about 5 to 7 minutes, until heated through.
- Add the chopped napa cabbage during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Taste the broth and add black pepper as desired.
- Ladle the soup and potstickers into bowls.
- Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute vegetable broth for chicken broth for a vegetarian option.
- For extra flavor, add a dash of rice vinegar to each bowl.
- If you prefer softer cabbage, add it earlier in the cooking process.
