Ingredients

  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 12 frozen potstickers (pork or vegetable)
  • 1 cup chopped napa cabbage
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pour chicken broth into a medium pot.
  2. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic to the broth.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add the frozen potstickers.
  5. Cook according to the potsticker package directions, usually about 5 to 7 minutes, until heated through.
  6. Add the chopped napa cabbage during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  7. Taste the broth and add black pepper as desired.
  8. Ladle the soup and potstickers into bowls.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute vegetable broth for chicken broth for a vegetarian option.
  • For extra flavor, add a dash of rice vinegar to each bowl.
