These simple crackers are made without sugar or butter, perfect for a healthy snack.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Optional: 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or herbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, and salt.
- Add water and olive oil to the flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions.
- Roll out each portion of dough very thinly, about 1/16 inch thick, into a rectangle.
- Cut the dough into desired cracker shapes using a knife or pizza cutter.
- Transfer the crackers to the prepared baking sheet. Prick each cracker a few times with a fork.
- If desired, sprinkle with sesame seeds or herbs.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
- Let cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, turn off the oven and leave the crackers inside for an additional 5-10 minutes as the oven cools.
- Store crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
- Experiment with different seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
