An easy recipe for making crispy churros in your air fryer, perfect for a carnival treat.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 2 tablespoons butter (for coating)
Instructions
- Combine water, butter, 1/4 cup sugar, and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until butter melts and mixture boils.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
- Return to low heat and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
- Transfer dough to a bowl and let cool for 5 minutes.
- Beat in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
- Pipe 4-inch strips of dough into your air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- While churros are cooking, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a small bowl. In another shallow dish, combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
- Once cooked, brush each churro with melted butter and then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Notes
- For extra crispy churros, you can flip them halfway through cooking.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce like chocolate or caramel.
