Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb Swiss chard, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 unbaked pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  4. Add Swiss chard and cook until wilted, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess liquid.
  5. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, salt, and pepper.
  6. Stir in the cooked Swiss chard mixture.
  7. Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.
