Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, toss the sliced peaches with 1/4 cup sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
- Spread the peach mixture evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
