Description

A simple recipe for a grilled sandwich featuring chicken, tomato, and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices bread
  • 4 oz cooked chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 slices cheese (cheddar or provolone)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Layer cheese, chicken, and tomato on the bread in the skillet.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  5. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from the skillet and slice in half.

Notes

  • You can use any cooked chicken you have available.
  • Use a medium-low heat setting to prevent the bread from burning before the cheese melts.
