- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat.
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even 1/2-inch thickness.
- Cut a pocket into the side of each chicken breast.
- Place one slice of ham and one slice of Swiss cheese inside each pocket. Secure with toothpicks if necessary.
- In one shallow dish, mix the flour, salt, and pepper.
- In a second shallow dish, place the beaten egg.
- In a third shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each stuffed chicken breast first in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg, and finally coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
- Brush the chicken lightly with olive oil.
- Grill the chicken for 6 to 8 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit and the cheese is melted.

Notes
- You can use a meat mallet to flatten the chicken evenly.
- If you do not have a grill, you can bake these at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes.
