- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Let cool before using on your pizza.
Notes
- For a smoother sauce, you can blend it with an immersion blender after cooking.
