Ingredients

  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, eggs, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until combined.
  3. Stir in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
  5. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out mostly clean.
  6. Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a cleaner slice, chill the pie for several hours before cutting.
