- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, eggs, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until combined.
- Stir in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out mostly clean.
- Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a cleaner slice, chill the pie for several hours before cutting.
- Serve with a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
