- 8 oz block feta cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Crusty bread or pita for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
- Place the block of feta cheese in a small, oven-safe dish or skillet.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the feta.
- Sprinkle the black pepper and red pepper flakes, if using, over the cheese.
- Bake for 10 minutes until the feta softens slightly.
- Carefully crack the four eggs directly onto the baked feta, spacing them out.
- Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 8 to 12 minutes, or until the egg whites are set and the yolks reach your desired doneness.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately with crusty bread for dipping.
Notes
- You can add cherry tomatoes or spinach around the feta before baking for extra flavor.
