A simple and delicious recipe for classic Beef Stroganoff using ground beef.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles for serving
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Cook for another 5 minutes, until mushrooms are tender.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the soup mixture into the skillet with the beef and vegetables. Stir to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and sauce has thickened.
- Serve hot over cooked egg noodles.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of brandy or dry sherry to the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
