A recipe for cookies featuring a swirl of chocolate and peanut butter.

- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the dough in half.
- To one half, mix in the creamy peanut butter until fully incorporated.
- To the second half, mix in the cocoa powder and milk until fully incorporated.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of both doughs randomly onto the prepared baking sheets, alternating between chocolate and peanut butter doughs.
- Use a knife or toothpick to gently swirl the two doughs together once or twice on each cookie. Do not overmix the swirl.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a more defined swirl, chill both doughs for 30 minutes before scooping.
- You can use crunchy peanut butter if you prefer texture in your cookies.
