Description
Simple recipe for making individual stuffing balls with turkey and cranberry flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 200g breadcrumbs
- 100g cooked turkey, finely chopped
- 50g dried cranberries
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 50ml turkey or chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon fresh sage, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, chopped turkey, dried cranberries, and chopped sage.
- Add the cooled onion and garlic mixture to the bowl.
- Pour in the beaten egg and the stock. Mix everything together until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Roll the mixture into small, even balls, about 3-4 cm in diameter. You should get about 12-15 balls.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
Notes
- You can prepare the mixture ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before rolling and baking.
- If the mixture seems too dry, add a little more stock, one tablespoon at a time.
- For extra flavor, use leftover roast turkey meat.
