A simple recipe for a classic holiday cheese ball appetizer.

- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh parsley (for coating)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled blue cheese, chopped pecans, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a ball.
- Place the cheese ball on a sheet of plastic wrap. Wrap tightly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Before serving, unwrap the cheese ball.
- Roll the chilled cheese ball in the finely chopped parsley until completely coated.
- Serve with crackers or vegetable sticks.
Notes
- You can substitute the pecans with walnuts or almonds.
- For a different flavor, roll the cheese ball in dried cranberries or bacon bits instead of parsley.
- Prepare the cheese ball up to 2 days ahead and keep it refrigerated.
