Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add the warm water and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (230 degrees Celsius).
  6. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two equal pieces.
  7. Roll each piece into an oval or round flatbread shape.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
  9. Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the surface of the flatbreads.
  10. Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet.
  11. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  12. Slice and serve immediately.

  • You can use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic if needed.
