Description
Bite-sized pockets of ground beef, cheese, and garlic parmesan seasoning baked until golden.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
- Flatten each triangle slightly with your fingers. Place about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture onto the wider end of each dough triangle.
- Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges firmly together to seal, forming a ball or bomb shape. Place the sealed bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg. Brush the tops of the dough bombs with the egg wash.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the filling is cooked through.
- While the bombs are still hot, brush them with the melted butter and sprinkle with the garlic powder.
Notes
- You can substitute cheddar cheese for mozzarella if you prefer a sharper flavor.
- Make sure you seal the dough edges tightly so the cheese does not leak out during baking.
