Description

Bite-sized pockets of ground beef, cheese, and garlic parmesan seasoning baked until golden.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  4. Flatten each triangle slightly with your fingers. Place about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture onto the wider end of each dough triangle.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges firmly together to seal, forming a ball or bomb shape. Place the sealed bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk the egg. Brush the tops of the dough bombs with the egg wash.
  7. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the filling is cooked through.
  8. While the bombs are still hot, brush them with the melted butter and sprinkle with the garlic powder.

Notes

  • You can substitute cheddar cheese for mozzarella if you prefer a sharper flavor.
  • Make sure you seal the dough edges tightly so the cheese does not leak out during baking.
