Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 ounces soft goat cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into 12 equal squares.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the goat cheese, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  4. Place about one teaspoon of the goat cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry square.
  5. Fold each square into a triangle or a small rectangle, pressing the edges firmly to seal. You can crimp the edges with a fork for a better seal.
  6. Place the sealed pastries on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops of the pastries lightly with the beaten egg wash.
  8. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes
