A flavorful Italian sandwich packed with classic deli meats and cheeses.

- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 ounces sliced salami
- 4 ounces sliced capicola
- 4 ounces sliced mortadella
- 4 ounces sliced provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced roasted red peppers
- 1/4 cup sliced pepperoncini
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic. Brush this mixture over the cut sides of the bread.
- Layer the salami, capicola, mortadella, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread.
- Top the cheese with roasted red peppers and pepperoncini.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the fillings.
- Place the top half of the bread over the fillings.
- Wrap the sandwich tightly in aluminum foil.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is warmed through.
- Remove from the oven, unwrap, slice, and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a layer of pesto or mayonnaise before the meats.
- If you don’t have roasted red peppers, you can use fresh bell peppers, thinly sliced.
- Adjust the amount of pepperoncini to your spice preference.
