Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on turkey thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  2. Pat the turkey thighs dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the turkey thighs skin-side up in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, bourbon, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic to make the glaze.
  5. Brush half of the glaze over the turkey thighs.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the dish from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over the thighs.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for another 15 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).
  9. Let the thighs rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • If you prefer not to use bourbon, substitute it with apple cider vinegar for a similar tang.
  • For crispier skin, broil the thighs for the last 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
