Description

A simple recipe for baked brie topped with maple syrup and pecans, served warm.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) wheel brie cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon butter, melted
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. If using puff pastry, roll it out and wrap the brie wheel completely, sealing the edges. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If not using pastry, place the brie directly on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Score the top of the brie lightly in a crosshatch pattern.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the chopped pecans and maple syrup.
  5. Spoon the maple pecan mixture evenly over the top of the brie. Brush the exposed pastry (if used) with melted butter.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is soft and gooey inside.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving with crackers or bread slices.

Notes

  • Serve immediately while warm for the best texture.
  • You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
