Description
A simple recipe for baked brie topped with maple syrup and pecans, served warm.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 ounce) wheel brie cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon butter, melted
- 1 package puff pastry, thawed (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- If using puff pastry, roll it out and wrap the brie wheel completely, sealing the edges. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If not using pastry, place the brie directly on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Score the top of the brie lightly in a crosshatch pattern.
- In a small bowl, mix the chopped pecans and maple syrup.
- Spoon the maple pecan mixture evenly over the top of the brie. Brush the exposed pastry (if used) with melted butter.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is soft and gooey inside.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving with crackers or bread slices.
Notes
- Serve immediately while warm for the best texture.
- You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
