A simple recipe for making festive peppermint chocolate bark.
Ingredients

- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 12 ounces white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 cup crushed candy canes
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
- Spread the melted semi-sweet chocolate evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
- In a separate bowl, melt the white chocolate chips using the same method.
- Stir the peppermint extract into the melted white chocolate.
- Pour the white chocolate mixture over the semi-sweet layer. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
- Immediately sprinkle the crushed candy canes over the white chocolate layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate is completely firm.
- Break the bark into irregular pieces before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use good quality chocolate.
- Store the finished bark in an airtight container in a cool place.
