  • 1 (8 ounce) package crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is fully browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Do not separate the triangles. Press the dough into a rectangle shape, about 10 inches long.
  4. Spread the Dijon mustard evenly over the dough rectangle.
  5. Sprinkle the cooked sausage and the shredded cheddar cheese over the mustard layer.
  6. Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log.
  7. Use a sharp knife to cut the log into 12 equal slices, about 3/4 inch thick.
  8. Place the pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
