A simple and delicious slow cooker recipe for honey teriyaki chicken.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, honey, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Pour over chicken.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Stir the cornstarch slurry into the sauce in the slow cooker.
- Turn the slow cooker to high and cook for another 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
- Serve the honey teriyaki chicken over cooked rice, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- You can substitute chicken breasts for thighs, but adjust cooking time as needed.
