Description

A recipe for a turkey roulade suitable for a main course.


Ingredients

  • 2 lb turkey breast, boneless and skinless
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • 1/2 cup spinach, fresh
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Butterfly the turkey breast to create a flat, even piece of meat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and thyme.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the flattened turkey breast.
  4. Lay the prosciutto slices over the filling.
  5. Tightly roll the turkey breast from one end to the other to form a roulade. Secure the roll with kitchen twine at intervals.
  6. Rub the outside of the roulade with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  7. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  8. Place the roulade in a roasting pan.
  9. Roast for 45 to 55 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) is reached.
  10. Remove the twine before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the filling ingredients with your preferred herbs or cheeses.
  • Let the roulade rest for 10 minutes after cooking before slicing.
