Description
Simple recipe for flavorful turkey stuffing formed into easy-to-serve balls.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and celery; cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add ground turkey to the skillet. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Transfer the turkey mixture to a large bowl.
- Add breadcrumbs, chicken broth, parsley, sage, and thyme to the bowl. Mix well until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Notes
- You can substitute ground pork for half the turkey for richer flavor.
- If the mixture seems too dry, add one more tablespoon of broth.
- These balls reheat well in the oven or microwave.
