Description
These broiled lobster tails with garlic butter are simple to make and cook quickly.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (4 ounce) lobster tails
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your broiler.
- Place lobster tails on a cutting board. Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top of the lobster shell lengthwise, from the tail to the fan, being careful not to cut through the meat.
- Use your thumbs to gently open the shell, then lift the lobster meat upwards, separating it from the bottom shell but keeping it attached at the tail end.
- Press the shell halves together underneath the meat, creating a platform for the lobster.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Place lobster tails on a baking sheet. Brush half of the garlic butter mixture over the lobster meat.
- Broil for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through.
- Serve immediately with the remaining garlic butter mixture for dipping.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh lobster tails.
- Do not overcook the lobster, as it can become tough.
- Adjust garlic and lemon juice to your taste.
