Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Add the sliced beef and onion to the marinade. Toss to coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef and onions to the hot skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  5. Stir in the green onions during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Serve hot with rice.
