- 1 pound thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Add the sliced beef and onion to the marinade. Toss to coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef and onions to the hot skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the green onions during the last minute of cooking.
- Serve hot with rice.
Notes
- For a sweeter flavor, add a tablespoon of honey to the marinade.
- You can add other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers.
