- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the trimmed green beans to the skillet.
- Saute the green beans for 5 to 7 minutes until they become tender-crisp.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the chopped parsley and thyme leaves.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Remove the skillet from the heat.
- Stir in the fresh lemon juice before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute dried herbs for fresh, using half the amount listed.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
