A classic seven-layer taco dip perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix refried beans, taco seasoning, and water. Spread evenly in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In another bowl, mix sour cream and salsa. Spread over the bean layer.
  3. Top with shredded lettuce.
  4. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Add diced tomatoes.
  6. Scatter sliced black olives over the top.
  7. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier dip, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the refried bean mixture.
  • You can substitute guacamole for the sour cream and salsa layer.
