Description

A quick and healthy stir-fry featuring tender shrimp and crisp broccoli in a savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until pink and cooked through.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the shrimp and broccoli.
  7. Stir well to coat, and cook for another minute until the sauce thickens.
  8. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • You can substitute chicken or tofu for shrimp.
  • Adjust soy sauce and oyster sauce amounts to your taste.
