Description

Sweet rolls combining the flavors of peach cobbler and classic cinnamon rolls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (17.3 ounces) refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen peach slices
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the cinnamon roll package. Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the peach slices, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens into a sauce, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Unroll the cinnamon roll dough. Spread the cooled peach mixture evenly over the dough.
  5. Roll the dough up tightly, starting from one short end. Cut the roll into individual servings, usually 8 or 9 pieces.
  6. Place the rolls cut-side up in the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake according to the package directions for the dough, usually 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. While the rolls bake, prepare the glaze. Whisk together the melted butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Remove the rolls from the oven. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls before serving.

Notes

  • If using frozen peaches, do not thaw them before cooking the filling.
  • For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the peach mixture.
  • If the glaze is too thick, add milk one teaspoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
