  • 1 (15.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the strawberry layer. Do not mix.
  4. Distribute the cold butter pieces evenly over the cake mix layer.
  5. If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
  6. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
