Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (15 ounces) whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Arrange sliced strawberries in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a small bowl. Let it stand for 5 minutes to soften.
  3. Heat the softened gelatin over low heat, stirring until completely dissolved. Do not boil.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole milk, and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually whisk the dissolved gelatin into the milk mixture until well combined.
  6. Pour the milk mixture over the strawberries in the baking dish.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  8. Cut into squares to serve.

Notes

  • For a firmer gelatin, you can use an additional half envelope of gelatin.
  • You can substitute other fruits like raspberries or blueberries for the strawberries.
