A classic Philly cheese steak sandwich recipe.
Ingredients

- 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and cooked through.
- Divide the steak and vegetable mixture evenly among the hoagie rolls.
- Top each sandwich with slices of provolone cheese.
- Place the sandwiches under a broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the steak mixture.
- If you don’t have provolone cheese, you can use mozzarella or Swiss cheese.
