Description

A quick and easy cheesy nacho recipe perfect for game night.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • Optional toppings: salsa, sour cream, guacamole, jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  4. Spread the tortilla chips in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  5. Spread the refried beans evenly over the chips.
  6. Spoon the seasoned ground beef mixture over the beans.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped onion and bell pepper over the beef.
  8. Top with the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Add your favorite optional toppings before serving.

Notes

  • For crispier chips, toast them in the oven for a few minutes before adding toppings.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
