A quick recipe for making zesty pickled brine shrimp in fifteen minutes.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 pound small shrimp, peeled and deveined
Instructions
- Combine water, vinegar, salt, sugar, mustard seeds, celery seeds, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until salt and sugar dissolve.
- Remove the brine from the heat.
- Add the shrimp to the hot brine.
- Let the shrimp steep in the brine for 10 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp from the brine and serve or store.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of red pepper flakes for desired heat.
- For best flavor, let the shrimp cool completely before eating.
